There are plenty of debates about just how good 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy is. One thing he’s been successful at so far this season is taking care of the football.
Purdy has yet to throw an interception in his 90 pass attempts, although it’s come with a little bit of luck. He had three throws against the Giants in Week 3 that could’ve been picked. Two were batted away from defenders by his pass catchers, while another was tipped into the air toward the ever-dangerous middle of the field before landing in the hands of 49ers wide receiver Ronnie Bell.
Alas, avoiding turnovers has left Purdy without an INT on his ledger this season while dropping his career interception rate as a starter to 0.9 percent. He’s tossed two in 215 pass attempts across eight starts.
