USC quarterback Caleb Williams got hit in a sensitive place on a premature snap

USC quarterback Caleb Williams got hit in the place you never want to get hit by an errant snap against Arizona State.

USC quarterback Caleb Williams is the prohibitive top prospect in the 2024 draft class, and he did nothing to dissuade those of that opinion in his team’s 42-28 win over Arizona State on Saturday. Williams showed all the athleticism, ball placement, and excellence at the position we’ve come to expect.

But there’s a reason they tell you to always keep your head on a swivel in football — because you never know what might happen. Here, on a play that didn’t go off as expected, Williams learned that you should always be prepared for a misbegotten snap.

Ouch! Hopefully, Williams will take a lesson from this: Always know where the ball is.
