The Texas A&M football community received some sorrowful news ahead of Saturday’s game against Auburn. According to a report, wide receiver Noah Thomas tragically lost his older brother, Josh, earlier this week.
GigEm247’s Carter Karels shared the news Saturday morning on social media. Karels indicated that he had exchanged messages with the Thomas family, who echoed their gratitude for the support they’ve received from the Aggie community.
Before Saturday’s kickoff, Thomas was seen on the field but was not dressed out to play. Though the sophomore was knicked up last week, it remains unclear if the tragic news about his brother was a factor in him not playing on Saturday. If so, it’s understandably warranted as Thomas and his family deal with their tragic loss at this time.
