Why Boston’s Kristaps Porzingis is a problem for the Miami Heat

The Porzingis trade has boosted Boston’s stock vs. the Heat in the eyes of many.

The Miami Heat have defeated the Boston Celtics in two of their last three Eastern Conference Finals meetings over the last half-decade, but that dynamic might change soon after the Celtics added star big man Kristaps Porzingis from the Washington Wizards via trade this offseason.

And though the potential trade for Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard might be able to change that calculus, the Porzingis trade has boosted Boston’s stock vs. the Heat in the eyes of many, including Miami reporter Wes Goldberg in a recent appearance on the CLNS Media “Garden Report” podcast. Goldberg was impressed by the Celtics addition of Porzingis, who played well against the Heat with the Wizards last season.

Take a look at the clip embedded below as CLNS reporter Bobby Manning and Goldberg debated how much Porzingis will help Boston in its long-running battle with Miami.
