Vikings Week 3 injury report: no new names added to Thursday’s report

No new names were added to Thursday’s injury report, but one player did see a change in practice availability.

The Minnesota Vikings released another injury report on Thursday, and while the report offers a change of status for a few players, no new players saw their names added.

The Thursday injury report is as follows:

  • Center Garrett Bradbury (back): Limited (upgrade from DNP)
  • OT Christian Darrisaw (ankle): Limited
  • EDGE Marcus Davenport (ankle): DNP
  • LB Jordan Hicks (shin): Limited
  • S Josh Metellus (shoulder): Limited
  • WR Jailen Nailor (hamstring): Placed on IR

The biggest storyline is the upgrade in Bradbury’s practice status. After missing last week’s game, Bradbury appears to be nearing a return to the field. It’s unclear if Bradbury will be active for this week’s game against the Chargers.

Marcus Davenport continuing to miss practice isn’t a good sign for his chances to play this week, and it’s worth monitoring his availability as the weekend nears.

Metellus suffered his injury early in the game against the Philadelphia Eagles but did return to the game later. While that’s a good sign for his status this week, it’s possible that the injury began to linger and it keeps him out for this game.
