John Hussey assigned to referee Bengals game for ‘Monday Night Football’

The Cincinnati Bengals‘ Week 3 game is against the Los Angeles Rams and is a Monday night game at home. The referee for the game has been assigned, and according to Jay Morrison of Pro Football Network, it is going to be John Hussey.

In seven games where Hussey was the referee for the Bengals, they have a 4-3 record. That includes one other Monday night game he was in charge of.

That Monday Night Football game was against the Pittsburgh Steelers and Juju Smith-Schuster took a huge hit from Vonn Bell after dancing on the Bengals logo midfield for a video.

Hussey was off last week and has only been a referee for one game this season That was the opening night game of the Kansas City Chiefs and the Detroit Lions. There were seven penalties in that game for a total of 88 yards.

So far this year, Cincinnati is tied for 5th with only 4.5 penalties per game and the Rams are tied for 20th with 6.5 per game.
