USC offers top 2025 Texas edge rusher

USC goes into Texas hoping to boost its future pass rush in the Big Ten.

Max Granville is a 6-foot-3, 215-pound three-star edge rusher from Sugar Land, Texas. He plays for Fort Bend Christian Academy. The Fort Bend Christian Eagles finished the 2022 season 10-4 with a win in the Division II state championship game. The Eagles have started off the 2023 season 0-4.

Granville has a number of offers. One of them is from USC. His other offers include: Auburn, Baylor, Cincinnati, Duke, Georgia, Houston, Illinois State, Indiana, Kansas, LSU, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, Penn State, Tennessee, Texas A&M, and Texas Tech.

Granville is considered a consensus four-star recruit by every major recruiting platform. On3 has Granville rated as the No. 74 overall player and No. 7 EDGE in the 2025 recruiting class. ESPN also sees him as a top-100 recruit, currently pegging him as the No. 94 overall player and the No. 13 EDGE in the class.

USC can always use some pass-rushing help. When the Trojans compete in the Big Ten, they will need formidable pass-rushing talent.
