Travis Hunter shares that he has no bad blood with Henry Blackburn

Like Coach Prime, Travis Hunter understands that “It’s football at the end of the day”

The Colorado Buffaloes managed to sneak out a thrilling win against Colorado State on Saturday despite Travis Hunter leaving the game early following a late hit by Henry Blackburn.

That hit has become the talk of the nation and Jay Norvell, the Rams head coach, gave some interesting comments on the situation.

Late Monday night, Hunter hopped on his Bleacher Report-sponsored show on Twitch and spoke about the incident:

“It’s football at the end of the day,” Hunter said. “Stuff like that’s gonna happen. I just say humble. He did what he was supposed to do. It’s football. Something like that was gonna happen on the field sooner or later. I just got to get up and fight. Good thing the doctors stopped me because if there was no doctors there, I’d still be out there playing. I’m thankful for everyone that helped me that day.”

Hunter went to the hospital and was later diagnosed with a lacerated liver, and he is set to miss at least the next three weeks as he heals from the injury, meaning he won’t be on the field for huge clashes with Oregon and USC.

But, Hunter isn’t holding any negative feelings toward Blackburn, which is certainly the high road to take for the talented two-way star. Buffs head coach Deion Sanders also stood up for Blackburn after the Rams defensive back received death threats following the game.
