USC players can’t look ahead to Colorado, but we sure can!

USC’s players must stay focused on ASU, but we can start talking about Colorado with @Tim_Prangley and @MarkRogersTV.

Yes, the USC football team has a game at Arizona State this Saturday. College football teams can’t look ahead. We saw this in Week 3. Florida State looked ahead to the Clemson game and nearly lost to Boston College. A lot of ranked teams jogged through games instead of playing with full focus. Those teams didn’t lose, but they did endure very uncomfortable games which were far more stressful than they hoped.

USC has to stay focused on the task at hand this Saturday in Tempe. We know how this sport works. The players can’t mail it in. They need to do the job.

We, as commentators, don’t have to stay focused on ASU, a game the Trojans will likely win by at least 25 point if not 35 or 45.

Everyone wants to talk about USC versus Colorado. Caleb Williams versus Shedeur Sanders. Lincoln Riley versus Deion Sanders. The Trojans play a morning game in the Pac-12 on Fox Big Noon Saturday.

Let’s go! Be sure to follow our friends at Buffaloes Wire for more coverage.
