Cardinals inactives: Budda Baker out; Cardinals without 4 defensive starters vs. Giants

The Cardinals face the Giants without four defensive starters in Week 2.

The Arizona Cardinals released their list of inactive for their Week 2 season opener against the New York Giants. They will play without four defensive starters.

Safety Budda Baker, who injured his hamstring on Friday, is among those who will not dress.

Here are the Cardinals’ Week 2 inactives:

  • S Budda Baker
  • LB Josh Woods
  • CB Starling Thomas
  • OL Carter O’Donnell
  • OL Ilm Manning
  • TE Elijah Higgins
  • DL Leki Fotu

Baker, Woods and Fotu are injured. Woods was ruled out with an ankle injury. Baker was questionable with the hamstring and Fotu was questionable with a shoulder injury.

Starting defensive lineman L.J. Collier was placed on injured reserve Saturday so the Cardinals will be missing four starters.

Expect Carlos Watkins and Kevin Strong in the starting defensive line and rookie Dante Stills should make his debut. Eric Banks, called up from the practice squad, will also play.

K’Von Wallace will likely start in Baker’s place and Krys Barnes should get the call for Woods.
