UNC basketball hosts recruits for unofficial visits over weekend

The UNC basketball program hosted two recruiting targets for unofficial visits on Saturday.

The North Carolina Tar Heels basketball program was on the recruiting trail last week, visiting a few different recruits in future classes. With the open period here again, it’s a big time for recruiting.

And on Saturday, the Tar Heels hosted some recruits on campus.

Per Travis Branham of 247Sports, the Tar Heels hosted 2025 four-star forward Jackson Keith and 2026 four-star big man Latrell Allmond for unofficial visits. The two took in the campus and also spent time at the football team’s win over Minnesota as well.

Keith is a Durham, North Carolina native who is ranked No. 66 nationally by 247Sports. As for Allmond, he’s a Richmond, Virginia native who is No. 32  in the 247Sports rankings for his class.

Hubert Davis and the Tar Heels do have the No. 1 class in the 2024 cycle with three commitments already. But the work is ongoing for future classes including in 2025 and 2026. They are hoping to build on that 2024 class by landing some big recruits in future classes.
