ESPN’s Lee Corso has an early prediction for Oregon vs. Colorado in Week 4

It’s not Week 4 yet, but ESPN’s Lee Corso has an early prediction for the marquee matchup between Ducks and Buffs.

We knew the start of this college football season would put several Pac-12 teams on track for marquee matchups later in the season. Several games between undefeated teams could have a major effect on the odds for a conference title game appearance.

We just didn’t know Colorado was going to be part of that picture.

Credit Deion Sanders and the Buffaloes. They have captured the attention of the college football world and impressed early. They are 2-0 after beating TCU and Nebraska. They have a game against Colorado State on Saturday night, which they should win. Chances are they will be undefeated going into their first Pac-12 game on the road, against the Oregon Ducks.

Now we get to see what they’re made of.

It is bound to be a wild week full of storylines and trash talk. In the end, the only thing that is going to matter is what plays out on the field.

Legendary college football analyst Lee Corso had a message on Saturday morning about the outlook of that game.

“Are they going to win them all? Are they going to the playoff?”

“No. They’re not going to beat USC, for sure, and Oregon, for second sure,” Corso said. “Don’t tell anyone I said that; I’m in Colorado.”

While the hype for the Buffs is through the roof at the moment, there’s a good chance the shine can wear off quickly. They face the No. 13 Ducks next week followed by a game against the No. 5 USC Trojans.

If they can look good against either of those teams, then we can talk about their potential standing in the Pac-12 title race. Until then, we should probably wait until we get a bigger sample size to start touting the Buffs as one of the best teams in the nation.
