Brooklyn Nets center Nic Claxton is one of the players on the Nets who has seen his stock rise considerably since the 2022-23 season ended. Claxton went from a big man who was more potential than production developed into the player that Brooklyn was hoping for when they drafted him with the 31st overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft.
Claxton went from being a player who may just be a good spot-starter or a valuable big man off the bench to a player who can be a significant part of a team trying to make a playoff run. Not only did Claxton finish last season tied for ninth in voting for Defensive Player of the Year, but he also showcased improved touch around the rim, among other things.
