After a relatively uneventful week two of college football action in the Big Ten, the week three schedule appears to offer much of the same.
In what will be the last week that features a heavy dosage of non-conference matchups, the Big Ten week three schedule is acting as an appetizer to what should be a terrific week four slate.
Notably, all four of the Big Ten’s ranked programs are active in week three, though three of four are set to face off against Group of Five opponents. Michigan faces Bowling Green, Ohio State will battle Western Kentucky, and Iowa will match up against Western Michigan.
While not an overly exciting week of games, there are still several intriguing matchups in the conference. The matchups that did not make the cut include Virginia traveling to Maryland, Louisville facing Indiana at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, and Northwestern looking to upset No. 21 Duke in Durham.
While those games didn’t make the cut for College Sports Wire’s top five games in the Big Ten for week three, the games below did.
