The Chicago Bears are hitting the road to battle the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 2 of the 2023 NFL season, where Chicago is looking to rebound after a brutal season opener.
The Bears’ Week 2 game will air on FOX at 12 p.m. CT. The television commentators for the game are Joe Davis (play-by-play), Daryl Johnston (analyst), Pam Oliver (sideline).
Chicago is coming off a brutal 38-20 loss to the Green Bay Packers, which marked their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. The Bears offense and defense struggled, where there are concerns about Justin Fields, the offensive line and playcallers Luke Getsy and Alan Williams.
Meanwhile, Tampa Bay is coming off an impressive 20-17 victory over the reigning NFC North champion Minnesota Vikings. While Bucs quarterback Baker Mayfield got off to a rough start, he finished strong in his Tampa debut.
The Bears face a tall order against a talented Bucs team looking to build off their season-opening win. There is plenty of veteran talent on the roster, including wide receivers Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, offensive tackle Tristan Wirfs, linebackers Lavonte David and Devin White and nose tackle Vita Vea. Chicago needs its best players to step up, on both sides of the ball.
