We’re getting a first look at Jackbox Party Pack 10’s games in a new trailer from developer Jackbox Games, including the multiplayer game series’ debut venture into music. Jackbox Party Pack 10 still doesn’t have a release date outside a vague late 2023 frame, but when it does launch, you’ll get these five party games:
- Tee K.O. 2 (three to eight players)
- FixyText (three to eight players)
- Hypnotorious (four to eight players)
- Timejinx (one to eight players)
- DoDoReMi (one to nine players)
“We felt a couple things were important in choosing the games: delivering on what we know our fans love and surprising them with something new and exciting,” Jackbox Games CEO Mike Bilder told GLHF. “Party Pack 10 felt like the right time to bring [fan-favorite Tee K.O.] back, and Tee K.O. 2 comes with some updated drawing tools that we’ve built as we’ve created more party games.”
“Not many studios get to keep making the games they love making for so many years. “We are incredibly lucky to hit this milestone and we wouldn’t be able to do this without our fans.”
Bilder attributed some of that luck to the Covid-19 pandemic and lockdowns, when he said the series’ fanbase grew rapidly and taught the team they had to “personalize” messaging to meet diverse tastes.
“Jackbox Games are played by ‘traditional ‘gamers’ but they are also played by people who have never previously played a game on a PC or console,” Bilder said. “That means that we needed to create a lot of guides and messaging for each persona of player that might want to try out our titles. We have guides for teachers, event planners, family gatherings and more all accessible via our website.”
The team refined their approach and included features for families playing games with their kids and for streamers, among others, such as game and language filters and other moderation tools to curate the experience depending on who’s playing.
Jackbox Party Pack 10 will launch on PC and console later in 2023, and we’re pretty darn excited about the new minigames.
