If we told you that Clemson would be unranked by the second week of the season, many of you wouldn’t believe it.
Well, believe it.
Not only are the Tigers outside looking in of the AP Polls, but ESPN’s FPI rankings also dropped the Tigers despite them putting up 66 points.
According to ESPN, the Tigers are 20 based on FPI ratings, but their projected win has fallen to under seven games.
Luckily, the remaining strength of schedule is 22nd in the country, which gives them opportunities to beat some teams and rise back up in the rankings. Florida State, Miami, Notre Dame, and North Carolina are still on the schedule, all ranked in the top 25.
Predicting six wins for this team is far-fetched. The boo birds did come out during the 1st half of the win against Charleston Southern, but once things settled in, this team did what they were supposed to do.
One win down, five more to go.
