The new Sean Payton-led Denver Broncos started the 2023 season with a taste of 2022: a loss.
Jimmy Garoppolo and the Raiders entered Mile High Stadium in Denver and despite two touchdown passes from Broncos QB Russell Wilson, escaped with a 17-16 win.
Despite the loss, Wilson looked better than he did last season. Although the bar for that is quite low given last year’s struggles.
