Nets’ Cam Johnson receives lowest rating on 2023 Team USA roster

Brooklyn Nets forward Cam Johnson was rated as the worst player on Team USA’s 2023 FIBA World Cup roster.

Brooklyn Nets forward Cam Johnson has had a wonderful summer as he signed a lucrative contract with the Nets along with being able to represent Team USA in the 2023 FIBA World Cup. Unfortunately, not only did America not earn a medal at the tournament, but Johnson did not play as well as some would have expected from him.

In a recent post by HoopsHype’s X account, the ratings of all of the players on the Team USA roster were released. Nets Wire has already covered that Nets guard Mikal Bridges received the best rating despite most presuming that Anthony Edwards was the best player on the team.

While this necessarily has no bearing on Johnson going into the 2023-24 season, it is disappointing to see that he had the worst rating out of all 12 players. Johnson was vital to the team, but his playing time did decrease as the tournament went on as Team USA started facing teams with more size and strength than the Americans were able to put forth.
