Brian Burns has given the Carolina Panthers plenty of reasons to meet him on a new contract, and he gave them a few more on Sunday.
Even in a 24-10 loss to the Atlanta Falcons, the two-time Pro Bowl pass rusher was phenomenal to kick off the regular season—registering seven tackles, 1.5 sacks and a forced fumble. Heck, opposing head coach Arthur Smith admitted after the game that he had to scheme his offense away from Burns because of how he wrecked the game.
