LSU fans got their first look at one of their new running backs against Grambling on Saturday night. [autotag]Logan Diggs[/autotag], a Notre Dame transfer, got his first carries as a Tiger and he did not disappoint in the slightest.
Diggs led the Tigers with 15 carries, 115 yards and a touchdown on the ground as LSU trounced the Grambling Tigers 72-10 in Baton Rouge. While that performance may have come as a surprise to LSU fans, it did not shock [autotag]Brian Kelly[/autotag] in the slightest.
“We knew what we were getting with Logan,” Kelly said. “He played for me at Notre Dame and I knew what we were going to get from him. It was just a matter of getting him healthy. We weren’t going to play him unless he felt really good. He felt good and he had a good week of practice.”
Watching Diggs run the ball was a welcome sight after LSU couldn’t get anything going in the run game against Florida State other than [autotag]Jayden Daniels[/autotag].
