The 49ers on Sunday got a win on the scoreboard in Pittsburgh, but they also got a win by escaping the opener without any injuries.
Head coach Kyle Shanahan in his postgame press conference said the team’s only injury concern was cornerback Ambry Thomas who was evaluated for a concussion.
Shanahan said Thomas was cleared, but there’ll be additional evaluation in the coming days to ensure he doesn’t have any lingering symptoms.
Left tackle Trent Williams had an injury scare where he left the field momentarily and appeared to be favoring his right side, but he re-entered after a couple plays.
There could be an additional update Monday when Shanahan has his conference call with reporters, but the immediate aftermath indicates San Francisco is still fully healthy going into a Week 2 road matchup vs. the Rams.
