Brooklyn Nets center Nic Claxton is one of the players in the NBA that has seen a rise in his popularity in terms of who in the NBA space consider promising young players. It looks like that rise in status could be something for the Nets to be aware of as this upcoming season goes on.
Claxton was recently listed as a trade target of the Houston Rockets in a recent article by Anthony Duckett of Space City Scoop. To be clear, Duckett is giving his top trade targets for the Rockets and not a list of players that Houston is actually targeting at this time of the offseason.
With that being said, Claxton, 24, has been getting a lot of love ever since he had the best season of his career in the 2022-23 campaign. Claxton not only led the league in field-goal percentage (70.5%), but he was also tied for second in the NBA in blocks per game (2.5).
