Chark suffered an injury during practice on Aug. 22. Initially, it was assumed that he would be back in time to play for week one. Unfortunately, that isn’t the case as his hamstring injury will keep him out.

Chark was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars with the 61st pick in the second round in the 2018 NFL draft. He spent four years with the Jaguars, having his best season in 2019 as he caught 73 passes for 1,008 yards and eight touchdowns.

Last season, Chark played for the Detroit Lions where he appeared in 11 games making 30 receptions for 502 yards and three touchdowns. He became an unrestricted free agent after the season ended. That’s when he was picked up by the Panthers. A team that was in search of weapons for their new star quarterback, Bryce Young.

Hopefully, Chark will be back sooner rather than later.
