After making it through a Steel Cage match with Trish Stratus at WWE Payback relatively unscathed, nothing could stop Becky Lynch from making it to India for WWE Superstar Spectacle on Sept. 8.
Nothing, that is, except an issue with her travel documents.
As it turns out, Lynch’s passport isn’t quite as durable as she is. The Man took to social media Wednesday night to explain the problem and that it would keep her from performing at Superstar Spectacle as planned.
I’m sorry to all the fans in Hyderabad, India. I was so excited to perform for you – but as there was a tiny tear in my passport l have not been allowed to board my flight. 😔 @qatarairways

It’s not clear exactly who Lynch was slated to face on the show, or who might take her place on the card. There will be at least one women’s match, as Rhea Ripley is slated to face Natalya for Ripley’s Women’s World Championship.
Other matches scheduled for Superstar Spectacle include Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn vs. Sanga and Veer Mahaan of Indus Sher, and John Cena and Seth Rollins teaming to take on Imperium’s Giovanni Vinci and Ludwig Kaiser.
This will be the second WWE Superstar Spectacle produced for the Indian market, though the first to actually take place in the country. The first event in 2021 was held during the late stages of the pandemic era and was taped in Florida to be broadcast overseas.
This time around, the show will originate from G. M. C. Balayogi Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad, the first time WWE is visiting that city. It will not be carried on Peacock or WWE Network, effectively making it a house show.
