Trojans Wire reviews Nevada, previews Stanford, applauds Pac-12’s perfect start

We talked about all the hot topics in #USC football with @Tim_Prangley at the @VoiceOfCFB.

The Nevada game is not going to be a central, formative moment from the 2023 USC season, but it marked another step in the evolution of a lot of young players. The USC coaching staff deserves scrutiny for how it manages and coaches the defense, but the one really good thing the staff has done in the first two weeks of the season is to rotate a lot of bodies in and out of the lineup. Guys need to be fresh for the bigger games down the road. Players can’t be overextended. The young guys need on-field work so that they’re ready not only for games later this season, but also for the move to the Big Ten in 2024.

Reviewing the Nevada game is part of any USC blogger’s or podcaster’s job this week. We did that in our most recent YouTube show at The Voice of College Football with host Tim Prangley. We also previewed the Stanford game and discussed the Pac-12’s 13-0 start to the 2023 season.
