USC target Devoux Tuataga announces commitment date

USC tries to win a recruiting battle in Utah.

Devoux Tuataga, a four-star defensive lineman from Eagle Mountain, Utah, announced a few days ago that he will reveal his college decision on Thursday morning. Tuataga also released his top five schools. USC made the cut along with BYU, Utah, Oregon State, and Tennessee.

Tautaga is a 6-6 240-pound edge rusher from Cedar Valley High School out of Eagle Mountain, Utah. In 10 games last season, he had 32 total tackles, 15 tackles for loss, 11 sacks, and 11 hurries.

Tautaga ranks nationally No. 621 overall, as the 42nd best edge rusher, and as the eighth overall prospect in the state of Utah in the 2024 class, according to 247Sports.

September 7 is the date.

With Utah moving to the Big 12 and USC moving to the Big Ten, it might seem that USC and Utah won’t be competing as directly against each other in recruiting in the future. However, moving to the Big Ten requires a more national recruiting approach for USC. Every battle counts.
