Bengals add former Steelers TE Zach Gentry to practice squad

The final piece of the Bengals practice squad puzzle has arrived.

The Cincinnati Bengals finally added a 16th and final player to the 2023 practice squad ahead of Week 1 against the Cleveland Browns.

Tuesday, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported that the Bengals were signing former Steelers tight end Zach Gentry to the practice squad.

Gentry, a fifth-rounder in 2019, had 19 catches over 17 games last year and at 6’8″, presents a nice insurance target for the offense. He joins preseason breakout Tanner Hudson as another player at the position on the practice squad.
