Two Vols earned Southeastern Conference awards after Week 1.

Quarterback Joe Milton III was named SEC Co-Offensive Player of the Week. Tyler Baron was selected as the SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week. after

No. 10 Tennessee (1-0, 0-0 SEC) defeated Virginia (0-1, 0-0 ACC), 49-13, during Week 1 at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee.

Milton III completed 21-of-30 passing attempts for 201 yards and two touchdowns. He recorded 33 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns.

Baron recoded three tackles, including a team-high 2.5 tackles for loss and two sacks.

Both players are first-time SEC Player of the Week honorees.

The Vols have earned 24 weekly SEC awards, including six Offensive Player of the Week awards and four Defensive Lineman of the Week honors under head coach Josh Heupel.
