Husker volleyball completes sweep in win over Kansas State

After four matches, the Nebraska volleyball team clashed with its first Power Five school of the season, Kansas State.

After four matches, the Nebraska volleyball team clashed with its first Power Five school of the season, Kansas State. The Huskers traveled down to Manhattan, Kansas, to face off against the Wildcats and earned their fifth straight sweep of the season for the second consecutive year.

Nebraska finished the match with 42 kills off 101 attacks, 38 of which came from the squad of Merritt Beason, freshman Andi Jackson, Lindsay Krause, and freshman Harper Murray.

Beason and Jackson finished in double-digits with kills, each snatching ten kills in the match. Meanwhile, Krause and Murray were behind them, each finishing with nine kills in the win.

On the defensive side, freshman Bergen Reilly led the way, earning 12 digs in the win. She also led the team in assists, finishing with 29.

The Huskers are now 5-0 on the season and will return home to host Creighton. The match is set for Wednesday at 7 p.m. and can be viewed on the Big Ten Network.
