Tennessee scored on its first possession as Joe Milton III completed a 9-yard touchdown pass to running back Dylan Sampson.
Sampson and Milton III accounted for four Vols’ touchdowns against the Cavaliers.
Milton III completed 21-of-30 passing attempts for 201 passing yards and two touchdowns. He recorded 33 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns.
Sampson recorded 52 yards and three rushing touchdowns.
Ramel Keyton led Tennessee with 66 receiving yards.
Virginia kicker Will Bettridge converted two field goals in the game and Perris Jones recorded one rushing touchdown for the Cavaliers.
