ESPN’s College GameDay crew makes picks for LSU-Florida State

The GameDay crew was split on the contest between LSU and Florida State.

With the return of college football, that also means the return of everyone’s favorite pre-game show: ESPN’s College GameDay.

Perhaps the most iconic segment of the show comes at the end when the entire panel makes its picks for the top games of the week. Though the Tigers won’t begin their campaign until Sunday night when the team takes on Florida State in Orlando, the GameDay crew still made its picks for what should be the top contest of the weekend.

The crew was split on its predictions for the game. Desmond Howard and Lee Corso picked the Seminoles, while Pat McAfee and guest picker Darius Rucker went with LSU. Kirk Herbstreit is on the call for the game, so he didn’t make a pick.

It’s not surprising to see gridlock here as it’s a neutral site matchup between top-10 teams with a point spread that currently sits at less than a field goal. The Tigers will look to prove Howard and Corso wrong when they take on the Seminoles at 6:30 p.m. CT on Sunday night.
