Former Wisconsin wide receiver Alex Erickson is hanging around in the NFL. The eight-year veteran signed to the Los Angeles Chargers practice squad, according to a report from the NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
Erickson starred at Wisconsin from 2013-2015, playing in 33 games across three seasons and recording 141 receptions, 1,877 yards and six touchdowns.
It wasn’t his receiving prowess that kept him on an NFL roster for the next seven years. The former Badger became a reliable punt and kick return specialist for the Cincinnati Bengals from 2016-2020 before spending the last two years in Carolina and Washington respectively.
