For former Alabama quarterback [autotag]Bryce Young[/autotag], there weren’t many things to critique about his play coming out of the draft. Sure there were size concerns and maybe a handful of guys preferred Ohio State’s C.J. Stroud, but Young has always been the top dog in the class.
From winning the Heisman Trophy to leading the Tide to a national title as a first-year starter he has always flashed special. After being taken No. 1 overall in the 2023 NFL draft, Young has taken complete command of the Panthers franchise. Much has been said of Young’s work ethic and mental capacity for football that we sometimes forget how special and accurate of an arm talent Young has.
Former NFL quarterback and current ESPN analyst, Dan Orlovsky has been as much of an advocate as any for Young this offseason. Orlovsky posted a video to X, formerly known as Twitter, where he breaks down a throw from Young in one of the Panthers preseason games and to say he was impressed is an understatement. In the video, Young uses elite anticipation skills as well as beautiful ball placement as he just continues to show signs of being a budding superstar.
To be doing this as much and as well as Bryce Young is right now is beyond impressive.@Panthers you got the right one! pic.twitter.com/tOJyX3bxWQ
