Here’s a fun little football side story for the Cincinnati Bengals as the team goes through the cut-down process and gets ready for Week 1 against the Cleveland Browns.
The NFL has partnered with WWE for officially licensed championship belts, finally making official a minor thing Super Bowl champions have enjoyed for years.
It’s the first licensing agreement ever between the two sports leagues and the NFL-styled belts will feature colors, names logos and branding of each team in the league — and fans can buy them for $550.
It should be interesting to see what the Bengals belts look like and whether it opts for a more traditional look or goes after the fun alternate helmet details that have exploded in popularity lately.
And it should go without saying, but Bengals fans would love to see their players get some WWE belts after winning the big one next year in the first year of this agreement.
