The U.S. women’s national team will face Colombia in a pair of October friendlies, U.S. Soccer announced on Monday.
The two games will take place on October 26 at America First Field in Sandy, Utah (9 p.m. ET on TBS, Universo and Peacock) and October 29 at Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego (5:30 p.m. ET on TNT, Telemundo, Universo and Peacock).
The USWNT and Colombia are coming off very different World Cup showings. Colombia turned in an excellent tournament, beating Germany in the group stage on the way to a quarterfinal appearance. The USWNT, meanwhile, went out in the round of 16 for its worst World Cup finish ever.
USWNT head coach Vlatko Andonovski has stepped down after four years at the helm, and was replaced on an interim basis by Twila Kilgore. It is unclear if Kilgore will still be in charge for the Colombia matches or if the U.S. will have a permanent boss in place by then.
Colombia and the USWNT have matched up 10 times previously, with the U.S. winning nine and drawing one. Most recently, the USWNT defeated Colombia 2-0 and 3-0 in a pair of friendlies in June 2022.
The USWNT has played eight times in San Diego, but the October 29 game will be the first time the team has played at Snapdragon Stadium, the home of the San Diego Wave, which opened last year.
