The talent in the Colorado Buffaloes football program is going to be fun to watch for the foreseeable future with Deion Sanders bringing in top-ranked recruits left and right. One of the first big recruits he brought in when he was hired was class of 2025 four-star wide receiver Winston Watkins Jr.
Watkins has been catching eyeballs all summer long and his junior year of high school is now underway. And, already, he has reminded Buffs fans why he will be a threat when he arrives on campus in 2025.
Against St. Josephs’s Prep on Saturday, Watkins caught a short pass, broke a tackle and tiptoed down the sideline for a massive gain.

IMG Academy ended up winning the game 17-14 with the help of Watkins.
As the season goes along, it will be worth monitoring to see what other big plays the CU commit makes.
The future looks bright for the Buffs and at least for now, we can only envision what Watkins will do in the black and gold.
