9 Hawkeyes named to Senior Bowl Watch List

In a show of this 2023 squad’s strength, nine Iowa Hawkeyes were named to the Reese’s Senior Bowl Watch List.

The Reese’s Senior Bowl is one of the prestigious annual showcases for veteran playmakers across college football.

Last season, four Iowa Hawkeyes were invited to the Reese’s Senior Bowl. That group featured linebacker Jack Campbell, tight end Sam LaPorta, safety Kaevon Merriweather and cornerback Riley Moss.

Held in Mobile, Ala., the Reese’s Senior Bowl provides the first opportunity following the college football season for coaches and decision-makers from all 32 NFL teams to get a look at potential NFL draft prospects. For a series of Hawkeyes, it will once again represent one of the final proving grounds en route to the NFL.

In a show of this 2023 Iowa team’s strengths, nine Hawkeyes were place on the initial Reese’s Senior Bowl watch list.
