The Tennessee Titans are once again reuniting with a familiar face along the defensive line.
According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, the Titans are signing defensive lineman Trevon Coley, who was previously with the team during the 2021 offseason.
Tennessee already had an open spot on the roster for Coley after waiving defensive back A.J. Moore on Sunday.
Coley, who spent time on the Chicago Bears’ practice squad in 2022, was signed by the Titans in June 2021, but he suffered an injury during the preseason that landed him on injured reserve, ending his season.
The Florida Atlantic product is the second familiar defensive lineman to reunite with the Titans in the past week, as Tennessee signed defensive lineman Kyle Peko last Monday.
In addition to Peko, the Titans also inked veteran D-lineman Michael Dwumfour recently.
All of these moves come on the heels of the Titans dealing with a rash of injuries in the position group. UDFA Shakel Brown was lost for the season, and neither Naquan Jones nor Tyler Shelvin suited up in preseason Week 2. Jones, in particular, has missed significant time.
