Titans QB Will Levis won’t play in preseason Week 2

Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis will reportedly not play in preseason Week 2 after suffering an injury on Thursday.

After suffering an unspecified lower-body injury during practice on Thursday, Tennessee Titans rookie quarterback Will Levis won’t play in preseason Week 2.

The news comes from Caroline Fenton of 102.5 The Game, although the specifics of the injury remain unknown. According to Buck Reising of AtoZ Sports, the Titans won’t be signing another quarterback for the game.

In case you were wondering if starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill would play, ESPN’s Turron Davenport adds that second-year signal-caller Malik Willis will play the entire game.

The Titans not signing another quarterback is good news in that it means Levis’ injury likely isn’t serious.

But it also puts the Titans in a spot where they’d either have to play Tannehill or whoever is the emergency quarterback should Willis get hurt on Saturday night against the Minnesota Vikings.

Nevertheless, this is a good opportunity for Willis to get an extended look and not have to rotate in and out like he did last week. Another strong performance like he had last week could also lock up the No. 2 job.
