As many of you know by now, Tennessee Titans defensive line and assistant head coach Terrell Williams got the opportunity to temporarily be the head coach of the team in the preseason opener against the Chicago Bears.
This was an opportunity that was undoubtedly well earned, as Williams has paid his dues and has coached a position group is always among the best units on the team.
On top of that, head coach Mike Vrabel has indicated that Williams’ ability to create relationships with players outside of his position group really stood out to him.
Unfortunately, the Titans weren’t able to win the game for coach Williams, but everything went smoothly with him at the helm and this was undoubtedly an invaluable learning experience that hopefully will help him down the road when it comes to securing a head coaching job of his own.
Yesterday morning we finally got a peak behind the curtain of Williams’ head coaching debut, as the Titans released a video of the coach mic’d up for the game.
Throughout the brief video, T-Will is constantly seen motivating his players while also receiving some words of encouragement from defensive coordinator, Shane Bowen.
Williams admits toward the end of the video that his experience was still a fun one despite the loss. The 44-second video can be seen in its entirety posted below by the Titans’ official X account.
