Early season tournaments are one of the many traditions that have taken hold in college basketball. This year, the Colorado men’s team will travel to Daytona Beach, Florida to play in the Sunshine Slam from Nov. 20-21.
As we learned Wednesday, the Buffs are a part of the “Beach Bracket” along with Richmond, Florida State Seminoles and UNLV. The Buffs will first face the Richmond Spiders in a semifinal game on Nov. 20 at 6 p.m. MT. The winner of that game will advance to play either the Rebels or Seminoles in the Beach Bracket championship game on Nov. 21 at 2 p.m. MT on CBS Sports. FloSports will stream the consolation beach game on the same day at 4:30 p.m. MT, per CUBuffs.com.
Before they head to Daytona Beach, the Buffs will host Milwaukee on Nov. 14 in a “home game element of the Sunshine Slam.”
