The Wisconsin football program, or otherwise known as “Running Back-U,” has been the standard for rushing production at the college level for almost three decades.
The program always has the next great running back ready to take the reigns of the offense. What’s amazing about that is, over the years the style and build of each back has been somewhat different.
Ron Dayne was a bowling ball-type running back, Montee Ball and James White were super elusive, Jonathan Taylor was top-notch fast (and great at everything else) and now Braelon Allen has his own mix of power and speed.
Wisconsin on BTN tweeted an interview with Allen from Big Ten Media Days discussing Wisconsin’s history at the position. They asked him to build his ultimate Wisconsin Badger running back:
