On Boston’s Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown being ranked outside the NBA’s top five duos

Given Brown and Tatum have been to at least the Eastern Conference Finals for almost every season the latter has been in the league, pushing back on a ranking that has them at honorable mention is no extreme response.

There has been a bit of a kerfuffle over a recent Bleacher Report top five NBA Duos list, with many fans and analysts expressing their strong objections to it, ranging from NBAer Austin Rivers on his personal podcast to the folks behind the “Green With Envy” podcast panning the projection.

The ire stems from it placing All-NBA Boston Celtics forwards Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown outside of the top five duos in the league for next season, coming in behind more than one duo that has never sniffed the NBA Finals while playing with the other half of their respective duo.
