Cardinals troll Russell Wilson after beating Broncos in preseason

In a since-deleted tweet, the Cardinals used a viral video to troll Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson.

The Arizona Cardinals took to Twitter on Friday evening to troll quarterback Russell Wilson after defeating the Denver Broncos in their preseason opener.

After beating the Broncos 18-17 at home, the Cardinals shared a meme video of a woman who shouted “that [expletive] is not real!” before pointing to a man at the back of a plane. In Arizona’s video, the camera then pans to Wilson exercising in the back of a plane.

The Cardinals, of course, are referencing when Wilson said last season that he stretched and worked out for four hours during an eight-hour flight to London last fall. The team’s tweet has since been deleted, but not before other Twitter users saved it.

Last year’s in-flight workouts worked for Wilson as the Broncos defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars 21-17 a few days later.

Wilson had a decent game against the Cardinals on Friday, completing 7-of-13 passes for 93 yards and one touchdown. Wilson has faced Arizona, a former division rival, 20 times in his career. The QB has an 11-8-1 (win-loss-tie) all-time record against the Cards in the regular season.
