Noah Gragson, Legacy Motor Club part ways after NASCAR suspension

Legacy Motor Club parts ways with Noah Gragson following his NASCAR suspension for liking an offensive post on social media.

[autotag]Noah Gragson[/autotag] was suspended indefinitely by Legacy Motor Club and NASCAR last weekend after liking an offensive post on social media. Gragson was unable to compete in the NASCAR Cup Series race at Michigan International Speedway as Josh Berry took his place.

Now, the young NASCAR driver will not return to the No. 42 car. According to The Athletic’s Jordan Bianchi, Gragson and Legacy Motor Club have parted ways and he will not return to the team this season. The NASCAR organization is expected to make the announcement on Tuesday.

Gragson was struggling in the No. 42 car before his suspension as he sat 33rd in the point standings behind every full-time driver. It was very disappointing for the organization’s standards as the Las Vegas native was already rumored to possibly leave after the 2023 season.

Mike Rockenfeller will join Legacy Motor Club and drive the No. 42 car at the Indianapolis Road Course and Watkins Glen International. Jimmie Johnson, a co-owner of the organization, worked with Rockenfeller during the Garage 56 program.

Gragson remains suspended for his actions and Legacy Motor Club appears to be moving on from the young driver. With an upcoming switch to Toyota, it remains to be seen who will pilot the No. 42 car in 2024.
