The Brooklyn Nets have made it through most of the offseason as they are now looking towards training camp and what players could show out for the team during that time. Before that happens, Brooklyn may have to consider one of the players in training camp that could be looking for an extension.
In a recent article by HoopsHype, Yossi Gozlan ranked Nets guard Spencer Dinwiddie as the 24th-best player among all players in the NBA that are currently eligible for contract extensions. According to Gozlan’s list, there are 96 players in the league that are eligible for extensions so that shows how highly-regarded Dinwiddie is at this point.
Dinwiddie, 30, is currently in the last year of his contract and is set to earn $20.357 million over the course of the 2023-24 season unless he signs an extension with Brooklyn to prevent him from being a free-agent next summer. Nets Wire covered earlier this summer that Dinwiddie and the Nets could work on an extension at some point this upcoming season since there is interest from both sides in getting that done, according to Ian Begley of SNY.
