Arkansas’ senior is the latest in a long line of Hogs centers who have earned big-time plaudits nationally. Now, Limmer, who will be entering his first full season as Arkansas’ center, joins Luigs, Swanson, Ragnow and Stromberg as having been named to the Rimington Award watchlist.

The Rimington Award is given at the end of each regular season to the player named as college football’s best center. Luigs is Arkansas’ only previous winner, taking home the trophy in 2007.

Limmer spent the last two years as Arkansas’ starting right guard. He shifted to center for the Liberty Bowl in December after Stromberg declared for the NFL Draft. For the season, Limmer led the Hogs offensive line in snaps with 983.

Limmer was named third-team All-American by Pro Football Focus and second-team All-SEC by both PFF and the Associated Press.
