Reds manager David Bell couldn’t decide what to do with his hat as he angrily argued with an ump

On. Off. On. Off. And on again as he argued!

This David Bell ejection has a lot going on with it.

First of all: It appeared he was arguing balls and strikes with an umpire in the Cincinnati Reds’ eventual 5-3 loss to the Chicago Cubs. But the Reds manager said it wasn’t about balls and strikes (see below).

Then? It was all about his hat as he yelled. He took it off and dropped it. Then he put it on, then he angrily and emphatically removed it as he made his point. Eventually, he’d put it on again.
