Coach Prime is the most intriguing head coach in 2023

Hard to argue with this list.

It has been quite a while since the Colorado Buffaloes were relevant on a national level. All eyes quickly shifted to Boulder upon the announcement of Deion Sanders taking the job.

Not only will Coach Prime look to turn the fortunes around in year one, this will be the final season for the Buffs in the Pac-12.

According to Pat Forde’s list, Sanders is the most intriguing head coach as we head into the 2023 college football season. The Hall of Fame player finished just ahead of Jim Harbaugh of Michigan.

This is one of the great chemistry experiments in the history of the sport. Sanders is an unconventional hire with a high-wattage personality and Hall of Fame player cachet, and his arrival has made the Buffaloes exponentially more interesting than they had been in decades. So interesting, in fact, that Deion helped drive the biggest realignment news of the summer so far: Coach Prime was a tangible factor in the Big 12 adding Colorado as a member in 2024.

Obviously adding a name the caliber of Deion Sanders to the Power Five brings its own level of intrigue and watch-ability. But it is the manner in which Sanders flipped this entire roster over in one offseason that raises it to another level.

Whether the team wins two games or 10, it is worth tuning into the 2023 season for the Colorado Buffaloes.
